Blending, Loading, Compaction, Block and Slab Products
As presented in this drawing the Representative Plant Layout above, operations consist of:
Mix Storage: Mixes of coal ash, mine tailings (or other industrial wastes) and a binder (such as cement or lime) are conveyed to the Mix Storage.
Fill Mold: A measured quantity of the mix is added to the mold.
RSC Machine: The mold is moved into the RSC machine where vigorous vibratory impact compacts the mix and reduces the volume by about 50%. The product is cured in a humid environment.
